EastEnders’ Zoe Slater makes huge decision as she’s faced with violent past

EastEnders fans are in for a treat as Zoe Slater (portrayed by Michelle Ryan) makes her return to the show after being shot by Jack Branning (Scott Maslen), leaving her in a critical condition.

Loyal viewers of the BBC One soap will recall that Zoe recently made a surprise comeback to Albert Square, reuniting with her mother, Kat Moon (Jessie Wallace).

However, things took a turn for the worse when Jack and local drug dealer Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) got into a scuffle over a firearm in the Square’s gardens, resulting in Jack accidentally firing the gun and hitting Zoe.

In a series of gripping flashbacks, it was revealed that Zoe had given birth to twins back in 2006, had a romantic entanglement with Max Branning (Jake Wood), and believes she murdered a man named Greg.

Upcoming episodes will delve into the aftermath of Zoe’s shooting incident, and it doesn’t look promising, reports Plymouth Live.

On Monday (15th September), a still-traumatised Zoe learns from the police that the shooting wasn’t a targeted attack.

The Slater family is thrilled to have Zoe back home, but she quickly flees to the café, where her day takes another downward spiral.

She finds herself confronted by Vicki Fowler (Alice Haig) about the murder of her father Den Watts (Leslie Grantham), prompting Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) and Anthony Trueman (Nicholas Bailey) to intervene.

Unwilling to let the matter of Den’s murder rest, Vicki pursues Zoe to The Albert, leading to a dramatic confrontation.

Later, Zoe heads back to The Vic and discovers that Freddie (Bobby Brazier) and Big Mo (Laila Morse) have spilled the beans about her shooting incident, which has made it into the local newspaper, potentially endangering her.
