Picking up right where we left off, Young and the Restless fans, Matt Clark has his hands around Nick Newman’s throat while Nick is DRIVING! Matt growls “This ends now, Nick!” as he squeezes tighter. Nick groans and slams on the brakes, but it’s too late. There’s a crash and everything goes dark!

When Nick finally wakes up, the airbag has deployed and he’s trapped behind the wheel. He manages to grab his cellphone and calls Victor with the terrible news: Matt has ESCAPED! Nick is stuck in the wreckage and needs help. This is exactly what Victor, Nikki, and Victoria were worried about! Nikki had warned that Nick shouldn’t be driving Matt alone, but Victor insisted Nick knew how to handle someone like him. Well, THAT aged poorly!

At the hospital, Victoria, Nikki, Noah, and Sharon gather at Nick’s bedside. The doctor warns they’re concerned about Nick’s leg injury and surgery might be needed. Nick explains that Matt attacked him from the backseat and started choking him, causing him to lose control. When he woke up, Matt was GONE. The family agrees that nobody is safe with Matt on the loose!

A Mysterious Figure Finds Matt in a Snowy Alley
Here’s where it gets CREEPY, Young and the Restless fans! Somewhere in Genoa City, Matt lies injured in a snowy back alley. He groans, “You’re a dead man, Nick Newman!” But then he looks up as a shadowy figure looms over him. WHO is this mystery person?! Are they friend or foe? Will they help Matt escape or turn him in? This cliffhanger is going to drive us absolutely CRAZY until we find out!

Meanwhile, Noah slips away from the hospital while everyone is distracted by Nick’s surgery news. The doctor confirms Nick has a fractured leg and will need to go under the knife. Sharon is frustrated that Noah is so stubborn, constantly running to Sienna’s rescue even when it puts him in danger! Victoria doesn’t think Noah would do anything reckless, but Sharon knows better. Her son won’t back down and will sacrifice his own safety for the woman he loves!

Noah rushes back to Sharon’s house and is relieved to find Sienna okay. She explains her phone was just dead and charging. But when Noah tells her that Matt attacked Nick, crashed the car, and ESCAPED, Sienna’s face goes pale. She declares that the only way to stop Matt might be to put a BULLET in him! Honestly? She might have a point!

Tessa Porter and Sienna Bacall Have a Surprising History
In a fun twist, Tessa Porter shows up at Sharon’s house looking for her, and she and Sienna recognize each other immediately! Turns out these two go way back to when Sienna was a roadie and Tessa was performing in a band. Tessa heard Sienna sing before she ever put out her single! Small world, right?

Sienna fills Tessa in on the whole nightmare, explaining that she married a “real sonofabitch” who only cared about getting revenge on the Newmans. She tells Tessa his name is Matt Clark and that people thought he was dead, but he came back! Tessa laughs and says that’s not exactly a rare thing in Genoa City. FAIR POINT! Sienna reveals that Matt might have lured Noah to LA with a plan to get back at Sharon and Nick, and he took her and Noah hostage and almost killed them both!

Phyllis Summers Wants Daniel to Help Her Take Down Victor
Over at the GCAC, Phyllis is leaving voicemails for Michael Baldwin, begging him not to ghost her. Daniel overhears and starts asking questions, which Phyllis desperately tries to dodge. She eventually admits that Billy and Jack have asked her to save Jabot from Victor, and in exchange, Jack will give ownership of Marchetti to Summer!

Daniel is actually impressed since that’s not selfish at all! Phyllis reveals her grand vision: she wants Marchetti to become their FAMILY EMPIRE. Fashion now, media later, with room for Daniel, Lucy, and Harrison! But Daniel warns her to stop manipulating people. Her schemes never work out, and she either gets hurt or hurts the people close to her. Phyllis insists sheer force of will is how she’s gotten everything in her life, and the only people she trusts are Daniel, Summer, and Lucy. She’s going to get what she wants, but she needs Daniel’s HELP!
