Matt Goss, 56, reveals he’s engaged to jewellery designer girlfriend Chantal Brown as he shares hopes he’ll reconcile with estranged brother Luke
Single since his days as a heart-throb to millions of teenage girls in the 1980s, Matt Goss is finally getting married.
The Bros pop singer, who turns 57 next week, has proposed to his girlfriend, the jewellery designer Chantal Brown.
‘We haven’t officially put it out there yet, but we’re engaged and looking forward to getting married,’ the former Strictly Come Dancing star tells me at the Barrus X Art De Huille LFW show at the Royal Horseguards Hotel in London.
‘She’s going to make a honest man out of me.’
Chantal was previously married to actor Paul Nicholls, 46, who played Joe Wicks in EastEnders.
She tells me: ‘True love is the secret to our relationship working out.’

Matt Goss, 56, is finally getting married to his girlfriend, the jewellery designer Chantal Brown, as he revealed wedding plans are already underway

The singer has been a heartthrob – and single – since he rose to fame in the 80s
She says the wedding planning for the pair’s big day is well underway and that the ceremony ‘will be taking place in London’.
However, amid the happy news, there’s a note of sadness. Goss admits he is still estranged from his twin brother and former Bros bandmate, Luke Goss.
‘I hope the coming year is a year when me and my brother can put our differences aside as he’s the love of my life, my best mate, so I would like to bind up my void,’ Goss tells me.
While he declined to share the reasons behind their rift, Goss added: ‘I think discretion is everything, but I would say we’re born on the same day, were brought up together, went to school together, so maybe he just needs space from me.
‘But nobody knows me better than him and I believe nobody knows him better than me, so I hope we find a way to make an amends.’
Matt is hoping the pair can get back on stage like previously warring brothers Oasis.
‘There’s no good reason for us not to do it,’ he says.
‘I hope me and my brother can find a path forward, I would love nothing more than for us to reunite. Bros put on spectacles when we go out and I would love nothing more.’

Chantal was previously married to actor Paul Nicholls, 46, who played Joe Wicks in EastEnders. They split in 2015
Back in 2022 Matt revealed he was ‘a romantic’ and was keen to marry girlfriend Chantal after moving back to London to be with her earlier that year.
The Strictly star quit Las Vegas two years ago after performing there for a decade to be in London closer to his girlfriend.
He told The Sun at the time he said: ‘It’s wonderful. We get to build a life and go to the movies and find our local restaurants and watch the England games.
‘It’s a beautiful thing. I feel very fortunate to be able to have love back in my life.’
Speaking on tying the knot, he added: ‘Of course. What’s the point if you don’t see it going all the way? That’s the plan. I’m a romantic.’
Chantal first met ex-husband Paul in 1997 when she was dating one of his friends and then they began dating each other in 2005.
The couple tied the knot three years later in an intimate ceremony near their home in Hampstead, north London, with Paul saying of his bride: ‘I don’t even look at other women now. She’s my soulmate.’
At the time Chantal was working as a model and was signed by Kate Moss’s agency Storm, starring in adverts for Oil of Olay and Cornetto ice-cream.
The pair then divorced in 2015 and Paul has remained tight-lipped on his love life since.
Chantal faded out of public life following their divorce, before being linked to the Strictly star.
The Bros frontman, who counts Melanie Sykes, Rebecca Ferguson and Martine McCutcheon as former flames, confirmed he was in a relationship in March 2022.
The singer who dumped his previous girlfriend as she was too obsessed with her phone, said about his new relationship: ‘It is great, it feels nice’.
