Later, Nikki arrives at Victor’s office. She kisses him hello.

Victor tells her she just missed Jack Abbott, and that Jill Abbott is coming to town tomorrow. He asks her how her day was.

Nikki is surprised that nothing in the office is broken, considering he just met with Jack. She says she met with Lauren, who’s concerned about Michael. She says Michael is working with Cane. Victor acts surprised, and she asks if he’s had any contact with Michael since they were in Nice.

Victor says that Lauren isn’t worried about Cane; she’s worried that Michael is still following his orders!

Nikki asks whether he’s brought Michael back into the fold.

Victor says Michael’s disappointed him in the past, and that’s not about to change.

Nikki thinks he’s giving her non-answers. She tells him he’s impossible. She kisses him and leaves the office.

Victor takes a seat, and his phone rings. It’s Jack. “Yes, Abbott?”

Jack asks if Victor got cold feet from what Michael said.

Victor says that everything is on track, and not to worry.
