Another Coronation Street character accuses Theo of abuse as Todd reels

Theo Silverton’s (James Cartwright) behaviour towards boyfriend Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) has been growing steadily more alarming in Coronation Street, and tonight’s episode proved that it’s not just a one off.
Todd and Theo joined a bunch of their neighbours for a party on Canal Street – something that Todd was surprised Theo was up for.
Unfortunately, it wasn’t long before Theo was annoyed, after James Bailey (Jason Callender) jokingly flirted with Todd.
To make matters worse, Theo bumped into a familiar face, who was determined to confront him about his behaviour in the past.
Tensions were instantly high between Theo and this mystery man, with Theo turning aggressive as he escorted him out of the club.
It was here that viewers learnt that this man was Owen, Theo’s ex-boyfriend.

Owen made it clear that Theo had mistreated him when they were in a relationship, and that he had since found support in his new boyfriend, who had been the one to help him see that his relationship with Theo had been abusive.
He told Theo that the conversion therapy he had suffered wasn’t an excuse to treat people badly, pointing out that that was all down to him.
Theo completely denied the accusations however, and placed the blame entirely on Owen.

The confrontation left Theo furious, and it was ultimately Todd who faced his wrath.
Though Theo had told Todd that Owen and his boyfriend were just random people who had tried to start a fight, Todd later found a picture of Theo and Owen together on his phone.
Theo was instantly offensive and accused Todd of being controlling and snooping through his phone, despite Todd’s insistence that it had been open on the picture.

Todd was taken aback when Theo revealed that Owen was his ex-boyfriend, and Theo twisted the narrative to paint himself as the victim, accusing Owen of being the controlling and manipulative one.
It was then that Theo accused Todd of flirting with James, which he denied, explaining that they had just got close to be able to hear each other over the music, which Theo would understand if he went clubbing more often.
Theo took this sentiment and used it against Todd, by declaring that he was going on a night out alone, despite the fact that Todd had organised dinner for them.
Will Todd realise that Theo is manipulating him, or are things set to get worse?
