EastEnders’ Samantha Womack forced to apologise minutes into Alan Titchmarsh show
Former EastEnders star Samantha Womack was left red-faced minutes into ITV’s Love Your Garden as she appeared alongside Les Dennis
Former EastEnders favourite Samantha Womack found herself blushing just moments into Alan Titchmarsh’s Love Your Garden on Sunday.
The 52 year old actress, who portrayed Ronnie Mitchell in the BBC One drama, joined Les Dennis on the ITV programme to discuss their enduring friendship built through years of touring and collaborating.
Discussing their close bond, Samantha announced: “He lets me park my campervan in his driveway!” before quickly exclaiming: “That sounds wrong!”
The star then burst into fits of laughter as she buried her face in her hands, apologising: “Sorry, I didn’t mean to do that, sorry!” whilst Les, 71, chuckled along, quipping: “Sam’s lost it now!”
Host Alan, 76, meanwhile tried to steer the conversation back on course by discussing the pair’s collaboration in The Addams Family musical tour, reports the Mirror.
During the production, Samantha took on the iconic role of Morticia Addams whilst Les portrayed Uncle Fester.
Samantha remains best remembered for her beloved portrayal of Ronnie Mitchell in EastEnders, though her character met a tragic end on New Year’s Day 2017 alongside sister Roxy.
Both sisters perished in a devastating swimming pool incident during Ronnie’s wedding ceremony to Jack Branning.
The revelation comes as Samantha recently disclosed that strangers approach her in public to caution her about her Emmerdale star boyfriend, Oliver Farnworth, who currently portrays a murderous character in the ITV drama.
Samantha’s partner Oliver has become embroiled in his own soap drama, having carried out multiple killings in the Dales as the sinister John Sugden. The actress has since disclosed that she receives ‘warnings’ about him whilst offering a glimpse into their romance.
Speaking to The Sun, she revealed: “I do get warned about him. But Oli is actually so strict about confidentiality. So he comes back every few days, and he won’t tell me what’s happening with anything. He’s like ‘I just can’t let you know,’ and I’ll say ‘come on, I’m not going to tell anybody.'”.
Samantha went on: “But I really think this is one of his favourite jobs to date. I visited the set and it’s beautiful. They have rolling hills and cute cottages. It’s very different to EastEnders. And what is funny is he gets a lot of attention when he goes up north, but when we go down south everyone knows me from EastEnders so it changes where we go.”
The pair have been an item since 2019 following their collaboration in The Girl On The Train during its West End run.
