The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers document that John Finn Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) never suspected that his daughter lived.

He should have because his adoptive mother was involved in Luna Nozawa’s (Lisa Yamada) claimed death. That’s about to change when Finn learns the mind-bending truth.

Viewers recall the intense storyline where Novlan’s character was said to have been shot dead by his biological mother, Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown). Li Nozawa (Naomi Matsuda) took control of the operation and stated that he died on the table.

She created a slight variation this summer when saying that she was able to remove the bullet Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) shot into Luna, but that Yamada’s character died in recovery. Terrible oversight at University Hospital in Los Angeles, California, where Li malpractices, didn’t confirm that Finn and, later, Luna, survived and were scurried away by one of its supposedly top medical staff.

Li Nozawa Committed Multiple Crimes Twice

Matsuda’s prim and proper character would break multiple crimes and completely violate her medical oath. But nothing happened to her after Finn’s existence was revealed, which was a slight hole in an otherwise great thrill ride storyline.

Having Sheila uncover Li’s actions in both instances was also questionable. However, the first instance helped to establish a believable link to Sheila’s discovery of Luna as alive.

It will be interesting to see if the writing staff allows Li to avoid any true penalty this time around. The volume of people who are aware of Li’s actions makes it more likely that she’ll face some form of reprisal, legal or otherwise.

Sheila Carter Sharpe Has Two Big Problems

Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) loves his wife. But his visit to Taylor Hayes’ (Rebecca Budig) practice was troubling for Sheila.

Telling Taylor all that happened means that Deacon will not get behind Sheila any time soon. He, like many in LA, considers the threat Luna represents to be existential.

So, Deacon’s connection with Taylor reinforces that his marriage to Sheila is in trouble. The trust established between Deacon and Taylor implies that a romantic tie is also possible, with viewers knowing that Ridge Forrester’s (Thorsten Kaye) ending of their engagement left her reeling and vulnerable.

John Finn Finnegan Reverts To Protection Mode

Finn is one hundred percent in favor of his family being protected. His family begins with Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and continues with their children.

Sheila is a permanent part of Finn’s life. But his fondness for her was radically altered when she tried to kill Steffy.

Learning that Sheila has been involved with Li, in keeping Luna’s existence secret, will be a major problem. In this instance, Li has the greater fault.

Sheila’s heroic efforts to prevent Luna from shooting Steffy at the beach house this summer will also fade in light of Finn’s imminent awareness of his daughter never having died and being protected, in part, by Sheila.
