Victor tells Jill that he’s stunned at how stubborn she is about Cane Ashby. She’s always willing to give him the shadow of the doubt.

Jill says she’s not blind to Cane’s indiscretions. They all have their soft spots, which is why she’s curious about her visit today. They know she has a bond with Cane; why is he confident he can change the way Jill feels about him?

Victor asks if Jill is aware of the danger that Cane poses. He’s targeting everyone in town!

Jill smiles. She had a long talk with Cane, and he’s regretted his actions. The coast is clear, and there won’t be a war to deal with.

Jill says she and Cane care about each other.

Nikki wonders if Cane is lying to Jill, or whether Jill is lying to them. Does Jill know how Cane built his empire? It’s not pretty!

Jill doesn’t know what Nikki is talking about. She only knows that Colin took his proceeds from a land sale and turned them over to Cane.

Victor says that the only thing in Cane’s heart is greed.

Nikki says that the chateau in Nice was Colin’s last con job, and there’s no way that Cane didn’t know about it.

Victor knows the truth is a bitter pill to swallow.

Jill says she was there when Colin died, and his regret was genuine. She thinks Victor’s theory is full of holes. There’s no evidence!

Victor says he has a letter from Madame de Lion who owned the chateau and she bequeathed the properties and her fortune to Colin.

Jill shrugs. Letters can be forged! He hasn’t produced any evidence that Cane was involved in the swindle.

Victor says those are the facts. There’s nothing hypothetical about it! She doesn’t want Cane to destroy Katherine’s company, does she?

Jill says she knows Cane wouldn’t lie to her.

Victor nods. They need to get their hands on the AI software and destroy it before Cane or anyone else uses it!

Jill laughs. Victor just wants her to get the software and give it to him! Is that his plan?

Victor says it would protect Chancellor against any future attacks.

Jill thinks it would give Victor too much power.

Victor says he promised to keep Chancellor and Katherine’s legacy intact, and he’s followed through with that.

Jill wants to see the letter that Victor has. Email her all the evidence he has! She leaves the house.

Nikki wonders what Jill will do next.

Victor says she’s run to Jack and tell him that Cane is a threat, and the Newmans have a solution to it!

Nikki wants to know exactly what Victor plans to do next. Would he destroy the AI software?

Victor says they don’t have to destroy it as long as Cane believes it’s destroyed.

Nikki asks if he’s really planning on destroying it, or will he use it for his benefit against Jabot. Is this what this is all about? Did he team up with Jack as a ploy to disarm him while he puts a knife in his back?
