Tessa and Daniel talk over coffee in the park. Tessa wonders if Sharon is going to be okay about the news they told her about Mariah.

Daniel thinks Sharon wants to know what’s going on with Mariah as much as Tessa does. He says Tessa is doing great with it; Mariah is lucky to have her in her corner.

Tessa wishes she could get it out of her head that Mariah is in danger from the man she attacked.

Daniel says that Mariah is safe at the clinic in Boston; the man can’t get to her there.

Tessa thinks they need to get to this Hensley guy first. She doesn’t know how to, though.

Daniel thinks it’s best to leave it alone.

Tessa figures they should talk to him casually at a bar and see if he’s a threat.

Daniel isn’t sure. If Tessa pokes around, maybe this guy will figure out who Mariah is. They don’t know who this guy is or what he’s capable of. Maybe he just wants to forget about it and get on with his life? He wishes Chance was around so they could get his point of view.

Tessa wonders what happened to Mariah… She’s being haunted by Ian Ward from beyond the grave! What could have caused her to break?

Daniel tells her that she needs to stay grounded if she wants to help Mariah. They have to focus on what they know. Mariah is safe in Boston, Tessa is safe here, and Aria is safe with the nanny.

Tessa wants to see Mariah. She wonders about the visiting hours at the clinic.

Daniel wonders if Mariah will want to see her… She may not want to talk to her about this!

Tessa won’t take no for an answer; Mariah has to see her! Mariah always called her pushy.

Daniel laughs. She can be pushy, and it’s probably one of the things that Mariah loves about her. She’s kind, loving, and devoted!

Tessa smiles. “You’re gonna make me cry! She sits down and checks on flights to Boston. She’s found a red-eye to Boston at midnight, but she doesn’t want to be an exhausted mess when she gets there… She’ll wait until morning. Why does Daniel even hand around with her?

Daniel says he’s in it for the long haul. He doesn’t wish what he went through with Heather on anyone, but Tessa and Mariah still have hope for a future together.

Tessa smiles. He’s sweet. She should be thanking her lucky stars that Mariah is still with them, and she should be thanking her lucky stars for him… She doesn’t know how she would have gotten through this without him. He’s been distracting her for months and has made her feel like the best guitar teacher in the world.

Daniel laughs. She is the best guitar teacher!

Tessa says Daniel dropped everything to come with her on an investigation, and what they found was disturbing.

Daniel’s happy he was able to be there for her.

Tessa says he’s been a lifesaver and more than just a friend… He’s been her best friend! She hugs him.
