Adam, Chelsea, and Nick are in Adam’s office. Adam reads from the press release that slams Cane.

Nick thinks it’s a bit flowery and dark. Victor will approve it shortly, and it’ll go live!

Chelsea thinks it’s a good piece. It’s been fact-checked, and she’s proud of it! As a member of the extended Newman family, she wonders what Cane’s retribution might look like. Three people died on his property, and there aren’t any charges against him!

Adam reassures her that their security teams are on top of it.

Chesea is worried that the story might push Cane over the edge. What if Cane attacks them? It could be enough to break the family apart!

Nick doesn’t think Cane can hurt them. He’s not sure that the AI even exists! Victor is convinced that Jill can keep Cane in check, but he’s not sure. Once the story gets out there, all bets are off.

Chelsea wonders if they should wait to put out the press release. His kids and Lily will see it, and if Jill doesn’t talk him out of it, he might retaliate against them!

Nick says they have to go all in… They can’t put the bullet back into the gun after the trigger has been pulled.

Adam’s phone pings with a notification. It’s Victor, telling them to publish the article. He hits “publish.”

Chelsea looks at her phone. The article has hit all the major news sites. She gets a text asking for their sources.

Adam shrugs. They specified what they could, and legal told them they’re covered.

Nick thinks they have things under control. He thinks he should go to LA.

Adam reminds him that Victor wants Nick here at home to deal with things.

Nick is angry. He wants to go see his son in LA!

Chelsea asks if there’s something wrong in LA… He seems desperate to go!

Nick says Sharon has a “mother’s intuition” that there’s something wrong with Noah. He needs to get out there and see it for himself.

Chelsea says he can go; they have a handle on things.

Adam doesn’t agree. Victor wants Nick here, and if Cane lashes out, they don’t know who he’ll target.
