Diane walks into Jack’s office and asks about his meeting with Cane.

Jack says he planted a seed that Jill might be able to advise him. He feels that things will work in their favor!

Diane doesn’t think Cane be trusted.

Jack says Cane may promise not to use the AI against anyone, but he could change his mind. He saw regret in Cane’s eyes!

Diane says that Cane held them captive in France… Doesn’t Jack remember that?

Jack says that he hasn’t forgotten, but he saw a chink in Cane’s armor. He knows Cane wants to be back in Jill’s good graces. If Jill gets in good with Cane, they won’t have to work with Victor!

Diane thinks that Jill might get through to Cane, but what if it falls apart in the future? The AI program will still be there, and he could use it then!

Jack says it won’t be there if Cane gives the AI to Jill.

Diane scoffs. What if Jill gives the AI to Victor? She gave Chancellor to Victor, after all!

Jack says that won’t happen… Not if he can convince Jill to let him destroy it!

Diane wonders if Jill would really hand the program over to Jack.

Jack thinks she would. Jill knows that Victor wouldn’t destroy the program. Once he knows Jill has the program, he’ll make his move.

Diane asks him if he’d destroy the program once he has it in his hands.

Jack shrugs. Maybe he will… Or maybe he’ll use it on Victor and Newman Enterprises!

Diane isn’t sure she understands.

Jack says Victor has put them through hell. He reminds her that Victor tried to turn Kyle against them, to harm Jabot, and sure, they had a temporary respite from their lifelong war, but now he’s relentless because Jack helped Nikki back on the road to sobriety when Victor couldn’t. This is the end of it all.

Diane gets it. This is how they get the revenge on Victor that he deserves! She’s all in!

Jack grins and they kiss.
