Coronation Street’s Andy Whyment tells co-star what he ‘can’t believe’ after personal update

Coronation Street star Andy Whyment admitted what he ‘can’t believe’ to his co-star after sharing a double personal update.

The actor, who is famed for playing Kirk Sutherland in the ITV soap, is often sharing posts about his family online – from enjoying dinners at local restaurants to taking to the high sea on their latest cruise.

Andy and his wife Nichola tied the knot in 2007 and the couple are proud parents to their two children, Thomas and Hollie, who are continuing to grow up in front of their eyes.

In one of his latest updates, Andy was seen celebrating his daughter’s birthday. Alongside pictures of the teen over the years, the soap star said: “Happy 15th Birthday Hollie, we love you very much. Enjoy your day.”

A string of comment swere then sent to Hollie, including from her dad’s Corrie co-stars, before Andy returned to his social media platform with another birthday message, this time for his son.

H also shared pictures of Tom over the years and penned in view of his followers: “Happy 17th Birthday Tom, enjoy your day. Love you son.”

Corrie co-star and off-screen bestie Alan Halsall was among those to comment, as he saidL “Happy birthday Tom”, before adding a car emoji, to which Andy admitted: “Can’t believe he can now drive bro.” Looking on the bright side, Alan added: “You & @nic_whyment1984 free cab now tho.”

Meanwhile, Sally Metcalfe star Sally Dynevor wrote “Happy Birthday Tom,” and Tanisha Gorey, who plays Asha Alahan in the long-running show added “Happy Birthday.”

It comes after Andy shared a proud update back at the start of the summer as his eldest child officially left school. He shared a snap of them together on Instagram on June 17 alongside the caption: “School’s out for @tomwhyment.

“Really proud of the young man you’ve become son and really looking forward to seeing you move on to the next chapter of your life.”

Andy’s Corrie co-stars were quick to respond. Sally Dynevor, who plays Weatherfield icon Sally Metcalfe, said: “Wow,” as Andy responded: “I still remember his first day at primary school like it was yesterday Sal.”

On-screen sister, Maria Windass star Samia Longchambon commented: “Well done Tom!!” Meanwhile,. Alan, who plays Tyrone Dobbs, commented on how tall Andy’s son is as he joked: “He is never ever standing next to me ever again.”

In response, Andy laughed: “I know bro it’s madness how tall he is now.” But Alan also added: “Well done Tom, top man.”
