Under the Neon Lights of L.A., Truth and Desire Collide in a Night That Changes Everything
Claire and Holden are out for drinks. Claire thanks him for taking her on a tour… And now he’s taken her out to a club where everyone seems to know him!

Holden laughs. Maybe he’s a big deal here! He says it was his favorite hangout when he lived there. And it serves the best Vespers you can get!
Claire agrees… These Vespers are delicious!
They joke about Holden being a great tour guide. She asks where they’re going to tomorrow, and Holden says that they’re going to the observatory.

Claire says she’d like to drive around and see the stars’ homes.
Holden is surprised that she wants to see those homes when she lives in a mansion herself.
Claire knows she’s lucky that the Newmans have opened their arms to her.

Holden thinks he’s lucky to be her tour guide; she has a way of looking at things with wonder and awe, and it’s letting him see the city in a new way!
They clink their glasses in a toast, and talk about their dream houses.
The club owner, Sienna, walks over and asks Holden where he’s been. It’s been a while! She asks Claire if Holden is showing her a good time.

Claire says Holden is very much taking care of her.
Sienna laughs. She’s glad that he’s “upgraded” to a classy woman, unlike “Audrey.” She says Audrey was a handful.
Holden corrects her. “Her name was Audra.”

Sienna asks what happened with Audra. Did she end up in prison?
Holden says Audra is a part of his past he’d like to forget. Tonight, he wants to show Claire the best of LA nightlife. He tells her not to make him regret his decision to bring her there by dragging up the past.
Sienna laughs. She wouldn’t dream of it, she’s all about creating the perfect escape! She tells the bartender that the next round is on her. She winks at Claire and tells her to make sure Holden behaves. She leaves the table.
