The Celebrity Traitors star Tameka Empson has admitted there was an unaired slip-up that may have paved the way for her show exit.

During last night’s episode, the EastEnders star and Faithful became the second player to be banished from the series after being voted out at the roundtable, with Mark Bonnar leading the charge in the belief that she was a Traitor.

However, Tameka confirmed that she did make a mistake along the way where she accidentally claimed she was a Traitor, which Mark himself recalled in a podcast interview.

Appearing on This Morning, co-host Ben Shephard touched upon the claim, saying: “There was somewhere where you slipped up along the way and you said, ‘I’m a Traitor, oh I mean I’m a Faithful’. That never made it into the show and [Mark] heard you say this and you literally made a mistake?”

Tameka responded: “Yeah, I mean, people make mistakes….”

Ben then noted that everything is being listened to, the EastEnders star saying: “Yes, but I would have liked to have thought that I would’ve seen something before I called it out. People slip up all the time – I mean look at Alan [Carr]!”

“There’s 19 of us, so there’s quite a lot on the cutting room floor,” she added.

The players banished Niko Omilana from the castle after last week’s roundtable, and later, the Traitors murdered Tom Daley.

Tameka’s final roundtable also saw heat put on Traitors Jonathan Ross, Alan Carr and Cat Burns, who all received votes from the Faithfuls.

Meanwhile, Celia Imrie produced one of the best moments of the show (and TV) so far this year after accidentally farting while Claudia Winkleman explained the episode’s task. You can read more facts about the actor right here.
