Claire asks Kyle why he has to head back to Genoa City. She knows she’s been very harsh with him, and it touched her that he realized that visiting Noah would bring up feelings about her father. It reminded her of how well he could read her.

Kyle says he hasn’t given up on winning back her trust. He’s not running away, he’s just giving her what she asked for… Time and space!

Holden smiles over at them.

Claire says Holden is there to pick her up. She heads over and sits down to talk with him.

Kyle pulls out his phone and looks at The Shadow Room’s website and Sienna’s picture on it. He mutters, “What can you tell me about Holden Novak?” and heads out.

Claire thanks Holden for being a good friend during tough times. It’s easy to be around him!

Holden laughs. Not everyone would agree, but Claire brings out the best in him. He has faults!

Claire asks for an example.

Holden says he doesn’t always have the best timing… It feels like he interrupted something between her and Kyle.

Claire says that Kyle was just telling her that he was heading home.

Holden wonders how she feels about that.

Claire says it’s been pretty complicated.

Holden says the last thing he wants to do is make things harder for her and Kyle in any way. It’s obvious that Kyle is terrified of losing her… Holden isn’t sure he could handle losing someone as beautiful and intelligent as Claire is!

Claire says Kyle is special in his own way. He used to read book reviews and scour book stores to find the perfect book for her. He bought her a first edition and had it signed by the author. She admits that breaking up wasn’t really about Kyle, it’s about her and finding out what she wants. She’s not sure if she’s any closer to figuring that out, though!

lden smiles. Maybe this trip isn’t giving her the clarity she hoped for.

Claire says he’s sounding like Kyle. Does he think she’s better off going home?

Holden says he’s definitely not asking her to leave. He’s enjoyed every minute she’s been here! He doesn’t think she should feel obligated to stick with her plan if things change.

Claire wonders if his thoughts on her leaving LA has anything to do with his conversation with Sienna earlier… That conversation wasn’t friendly; what were they arguing about? Is there a reason he doesn’t want Claire in LA? She knows she already asked, but what was the trouble that he got into with Audra when he lived here? Is he trying to protect Claire from whatever is going on?

Holden says he wouldn’t do anything to chase her away. He asks her to let it go; what happened with Audra is in the past. He’s moved on.

Claire says that she moved on from being controlled by her aunt, which made her very good at seeing when someone is lying. Should she just ask Sienna what he’s hiding?

Holden says she’s imagining things… The only major problem he is having is whether to take her to the La Brea Tar Pits or the Santa Monica Pier! He says he and Sienna were arguing about who has the best tacos. Sienna doesn’t know much about him; she owns the club that he and Audra used to hang out at. Of course she knows that Audra is trouble… Everyone knows!
