Phyllis steps up close to Cane, within kissing distance, and asks what happens now.

Cane shrugs. That’s up to her. He asks what she’s doing.

Phyllis asks if he thought she was going to kiss him and use her body and sexuality as a weapon. She wouldn’t do that!

Cane says Phyllis is going to help him find out who stole his AI program.

Phyllis nods. They have to work together to uncover who stole the AI, but it’s obviously Victor who stole it.

Cane says she is his main suspect. He asks her to walk him through her thinking.

Phyllis says Victor used Newman Media to throw Cane off his game, then he’s going to use the AI to ruin Arabesque.

Cane wonders who Victor might have used to hack his company. He tells Phyllis not to worry about Victor Newman; he’s going to handle him!

Phyllis asks where that leaves her.

Cane says he’s still counting on Phyllis to restore his image.

Phyllis says that’s a problem; she doesn’t have the AI program.

Cane says she’ll have to figure out another way to restore his credibility while he figures out the theft. He asks if he can count on her to repair his image while he gets his property back. Maybe Phyllis can hack into Victor’s systems and get his programs back.

Phyllis figures he’s giving her another loyalty test. She needs to know that Cane trusts her before she agrees to another of his plans!

Cane tells her the plan has changed because someone stole from him, which means that it’ll take him longer to clean up his image and get closer to his kids. He has a team of people working to prove that his inheritance is legitimate, but he needs Phyllis to get his property back while he distracts Victor.

Phyllis smiles. Has she ever let him down in the past?

Cane knew he could count on her. He tells her that he’ll be in touch with their next move. He leaves her room. Outside, he pulls out his phone and makes a call. “I need you to keep an eye on Phyllis Summers and let me know every move she makes.”

Phyllis sends Victor a message. “We need to meet. Urgent.”
