Daniel drops by and brings Tessa a coffee.

Tessa thanks him and says she’s a mess, and not just because she couldn’t stop talking last night. She’d understand if he wants to leave.

Daniel sits down. Did she get hashbrowns?

Tessa grins. She did order hashbrowns!

A bit later, they pick at their breakfast as they talk. Daniel admits he told his parents that things got “out of hand” last night, but nothing more.

Tessa is glad he didn’t get into specifics with them like her kissing him. Does he feel like he made a mistake last night?

Daniel says he didn’t. He thinks she’s been going through so much, but he’s happy that they kissed!

Tessa tells him she dreamed about kissing him and it became more intense. She tells him that a police officer interrupted them in bed and told her she had an arrest warrant for Mariah. Now she can’t get it out of her head that Mariah might be in real trouble!

Daniel doesn’t think this is a psychic prediction about Mariah… Sometimes people get drunk and confused. Especially when some guy tells her how much he cares about her!

Tessa says they have a connection that matters a lot to both of them.

Daniel agrees, but doesn’t think it can go much further.

Tessa nods. It can’t go much further if she’s married, but she thinks her marriage is nearing its end.
