Tonight, the suited and booted soap star attended the National Television Awards and confirmed he was leaving the BBC show.

Speaking to The Sun, he said: “Yeah I’m leaving.

Since it was confirmed, the last three months I’ve been there I really enjoyed. I enjoyed it more the last three months than I had done previously.

He admitted he’ll have “mixed emotions” on his last day.

The humble actor added: “I’ve been lucky. I don’t know if I can call it an achievement because I’ve relied on so many other people. It’s been nice.”

The ex-Strictly Come Dancing runner-up, 22, told pals he intends to spend at least a year abroad after becoming an avid follower of the spiritual movement.

Hare Krishna, a form of Hinduism, has its roots in India.

And Bobby, who is leaving his role as Freddie Slater, is planning to stay in a commune there.

It’s a major decision for the actor, whose profile rose after Strictly and a 2023 “rising star” NTA win.

A source said: “Bobby is really excited and happy about his move to India. He has been actively telling everyone about it and openly preaching to them why he is devoted to Hare Krishna.

My brother Freddy needs to grow up… there are things I don’t like about him says Bobby Brazier as he discusses family feud

“Some people find it surprising that he’s walking away from his career at a time when he’s on such a high, even though he’s such a nice young man and his heart is in the right place.”

“He says he expects to be over there for a long while, at least a year, so maybe he will pick up on his career eventually when he’s back.”

Bobby, whose dad is TV star Jeff Brazier, adopted the religion as he “sought solace” following the death of his mum Jade Goody in 2009 when he was five.

Last year, he danced and chanted with others in the religion’s robes on Oxford Street, London.

He has become a regular at the Hare Krishna temple in London’s Soho, taking part in communal prayers, chants and helping to prepare meals for others.
