An Elegant Dinner, A Dangerous Truth — Only at the Genoa City Athletic Club
Audra tells Holden that he didn’t have to tell Claire about their past… He could have held back!

Holden apologizes for upsetting her. Claire had been pressing him about their history, and they went to The Shadow Room, and the topic of their past came up again.
Audra can’t believe he took Claire there, especially with their history with that place! Does he have a death wish? There are hundreds of other clubs in LA that he could take his girlfriend to! This really fits his M.O. and figures Claire must have taken him back to her room to show her appreciation… Did she get that right?
Holden tells her to calm down. Claire already thinks something suspicious happened between him and Audra and he needed to say something, so he told Claire a sanitized version of the truth.

Audra is furious that he gave Claire the ammunition she needs to sabotage Audra’s life. What if Claire tells Nate or Amy? She’ll obviously tell Kyle, but who cares what he thinks? She realizes that if this news gets out, she could lose her job with Abbott Communications. She asks if he told Claire that he took her hush money… She should get a refund, because he certainly didn’t keep his mouth shut!
Holden says he never mentioned “his” name to Claire, so hopefully she won’t keep digging into this. Neither of them need that, because that’s a story that neither of them want getting out!
Sally walks into the club and sees them talking. “Everything okay here?”

Holden says he and Audra were reminiscing about old times. Sometimes things that seemed life-changing turn out not to be worth remembering at all! He leaves the club.
Sally asks Audra what’s going on… Steam was literally rising from Audra’s head when she was talking to Holden!
Audra shrugs it off. She wonders what Sally wants to talk about.

They take a seat in the dining room. Sally tells Audra she spoke with the company’s “secret” investor about Audra, and they were concerned about Audra’s history and strongly advised her not to hire her. She reassures Audra that she’s not giving up on her.
Audra knows that the person who signs the checks calls the shots.
Sally says it may take a bit longer than they first thought. Once she and Billy have the company up and running, they’ll both be able to get what they want and bring Audra on board… The investor didn’t give her a direct order not to hire Audra, so she’s going to use that wiggle room!

Audra thanks her; not a lot of people have her back these days! She promises to keep her distance from Abbott Communications, but she’ll be ready to jump in when they need her. She won’t let her down!
Sally is sure she can get the investor to come on board with Audra; she has a plan.
