Phyllis meets Michael in the park. She wonders what his “big secret” is.

Michael says they’re working on the same team.

Phyllis knew it! What exactly is he doing for Cane? Cane already has a brilliant attorney in Amanda… He must be bringing him on for his other skills.

Michael grins and teases that while he has undercover skills, she’s still the queen of hacking.

Phyllis laughs. He’s gotten through some firewalls himself… Even real walls! He probably has a ton of secret accents and disguises.

Michael smiles. It’s way more fun when they’re not mad at each other!

Phyllis says she did miss their friendship, but he turned his back on her when she needed him most! He chose to defend a woman who she believed was threatening her and her children’s lives!

Michael admits it was a low point in their relationship. He wants to put the negativity behind them!

Phyllis smiles and says that now that they’re working together, it’s guaranteed success for Cane. Look out, Genoa City! What will he do when Victor finds out?

Michael says he has it in his contract that his business relationship with Cane will remain a secret… Not even Lauren will know that his paychecks are coming from Cane!

Phyllis tells him to hold up… If his wife doesn’t know about this, he must be hiding something more! Why would he want to keep Lauren in the dark?

Michael says he’s good at covering his tracks. He’ll probably have to tell Lauren eventually, but for now, it’s better this way!

Phyllis says his excuse for taking the job just flew out the window. There’s no way he’d keep his new position from Lauren a secret!

Michael admits he’s doing it to protect Lauren. He doesn’t want Lauren to know if he has to handle something for Cane that involves getting his hands dirty… Lauren has plausible deniability this way! He’ll protect his wife at whatever cost!

Phyllis doesn’t buy it. What secret is he protecting? She knows he’s lying to her! What is he doing? She threatens that if he doesn’t tell her his agenda, she’ll go to Cane and tell him that Michael can’t be trusted!
