Claire tells Kyle that they’re done and thanks him for bringing her the flowers.

Kyle asks to be heard out… He came all this way!

Claire reconsiders and asks Holden to give them some time.

Holden agrees, and heads to the lobby.

Kyle knows Claire wants time to figure things out and go on a journey of self-discovery. He won’t stop her, but he wishes she’d go on that journey with him instead of a guy like Holden.

Claire says it’s her choice, and Holden isn’t a bad guy. She knows him better than Kyle.

Kyle sighs. Fine, but she broke up with him and immediately went to LA with Holden! How’s he supposed to feel about that?

Claire shrugs. He’s supposed to leave it alone. She asked for space, but he flew out here and is still trying to control who’s she’s with and what she does. Same old moves!

Kyle still doesn’t understand why.

Claire says she’s told him why, but he doesn’t like the answer. His actions are reinforcing why they shouldn’t be together right now! What she needs right now is distance from him. She needs to decide what she wants for her future before she can give any thought to their future.

Kyle knows that following her to LA is crazy, but he’s crazy for her. He wants to give her the space she wants, but he also wants to fight for them. He’s terrified that if he lets her go, she’ll think the love he has for her is gone, but it can’t be.

Claire knows he loves her, but she needs to focus on what she needs and wants. She needs to be in the moment and deal with what’s in front of her. She smiles as she looks at the flowers and says she misses home, and to tell Harrison that she’s fine and that they’ll go to Chancellor Park when they’re back.

Kyle nods. He says he’s got a room in the hotel and will work remotely. He’ll be here for a few days if she changes her mind. He asks if she wouldn’t mind taking that picture for Harrison, and they take a selfie together, smiling. He gets up and leaves.

Holden comes out and asks Claire if she’s okay.

Claire says she’s fine, but she had no idea Kyle was going to be there. She didn’t expect him to follow here there!

Holden thinks Kyle is a man who’s very much in love. Kyle can come off as obsessive, but he’s obviously devoted to Claire… And Holden can see why!

Claire wonders if she’s being unreasonable with Kyle. She doesn’t think she is.

Holden says there’s no pressure if she’s regretting being there with him.

Claire caresses his shoulder tenderly. She’s feeling no regret at all!
