Nikki tells Victor that Cane is doing everything he can to make amends with Lily.

Victor thinks it has to do with Cane’s relationship with Jill Abbott and how he was raised by Colin. He knows that Cane isn’t a lunatic like Ian Ward or Jordan Howard. He thinks Cane is underestimating him.

Nikki knows Victor has the matter in hand and agrees that Cane is a wildcard. She asks what Victor’s next move is.

Victor shrugs. He thinks Jill Abbott will be the one to put Cane in his place! His phone rings and he asks the caller to send their guest in.

It’s Jack. He walks in and greets them and tells Victor that they’ve been at war forever, but now it’s time to lay down their swords!

Victor asks why this couldn’t have waited until morning. Jack’s caused a lot of trouble!

Jack says he doesn’t want to join hands and sing Kumbaya, but they have a common enemy with Cane Ashby. He wants to join forces and get rid of him! If they don’t form a united front, Cane could wipe out Jabot, Chancellor, and Newman Enterprises!

Victor says he’s not losing sleep over Cane.

Jack says Cane is a formidable opponent… He built his empire a lot faster than either Jack or Victor did!

Victor snorts. Jack didn’t build his empire! It was handed to him, and maybe he deserves to lose Jabot!

Jack says maybe Victor deserves to lose Newman Enterprises or Nikki deserves to lose Chancellor. Victor knows that Cane’s AI could destroy their companies! Jack says he knows how to beat Cane at his own game.

Victor says they don’t actually know that Cane has the software or the means to use it.

Jack says that they have to assume he does have the software. He knows Victor doesn’t have an ounce of love for him, but if they work together, they can stop Cane! He believes that they need to bring Jill into this. They need to go on the defensive and find a way to sabotage Cane’s empire from the inside!
