A TRIO of Hollyoaks legends reunited two decades after last appearing together on-screen – ahead of the 30th anniversary.
The soap launched back in October 1995, with many cast members coming and going over the years.
Nick Pickard, 50, has been playing Tony Hutchinson since the very first episode.
Meanwhile, James Redmond originally played Rory “Finn” Finnigan from 1998 to 2002.
He has returned for guest appearances in the years since, including the soap’s upcoming 30th Anniversary.
Taking to Instagram, James, 53, shared a photo of him reuniting with former co-stars Nick, as well as Natalie Casey (Carol Groves).
He captioned: “Over the moon to be back for the @hollyoaksofficial 30th Anniversary episodes, next week on @e4grams.
“Working with the brilliant @nickpickardofficial , @johnnyinapickle , @natalielauracasey & Jimmy McKenna again was a dream come true.“
One follower commented: “Yessss!!! Can’t wait to see you in hollyoaks again!! Love Finn.”
Another added: “The best era of this show!!”
A third shared: “When Hollyoaks was at its peak!”
While a fourth remarked: “Classic Hollyoaks days.”
Earlier this year, The Sun revealed Hollyoaks would be welcoming back three iconic stars for its milestone anniversary.
This included James, Natalie, as well as Nick’s real-life brother John Pickard reprising his role as Dominic Reilly.
A source told The Sun Online: “They were all hugely popular characters in the 90s and had to be a part of the anniversary.
“Hollyoaks might have a lot of younger viewers now but bosses really wanted to remember the 90s roots, so there’s set to be some real nostalgia coming up.”
In particular, all three returnees have a close connection to show original Tony Hutchinson.
Finn became close friends with Tony, even going into business together.
Elsewhere, Natalie’s character Carol had a will they/won’t they relationship with him.
While Dominic, who appeared from 2005 to 2010, is Tony’s half-brother.
