BBC Strictly Come Dancing’s Nikita Kuzmin gives Dani Dyer update after injury exit

Strictly Come Dancing professional Nikita Kuzmin has issued an update on former partner Dani Dyer after she was forced to pull out of the show due to an injury

Strictly Come Dancing professional Nikita Kuzmin has provided a heartfelt update on Dani Dyer after her departure from the programme due to injury.

The announcement came on Tuesday 23 September that Dani, 29, daughter of EastEnders legend Danny Dyer, was forced to pull out of the BBC One dancing competition following an unfortunate mishap. She had been paired with professional dancer Nikita.

The show’s official Instagram account shared the news, posting: “Unfortunately due to an injury Dani Dyer is no longer able to compete in #Strictly 2025. She’ll be sorely missed and we wish her a speedy recovery” accompanied by a heart emoji.

During Wednesday’s This Morning appearance alongside his new Strictly partner Amber Davies, presenters Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley enquired about Dani’s wellbeing.

Nikita revealed: “To be honest, Dani is recovering right now. I’m wishing her all my love and she’s been such a sweetheart.”, reports Wales Online.

“The partnership was also such a fantastic partnership for me and Dani. But she was also such a good sport and saying: ‘Just go out there Nikita, enjoy the journey, enjoy the journey with Amber.”

Amber, 29, then chimed in: “She’s really missed in the building, everybody loved her so much and loves her. I have text her just to say: ‘You’re missed!'” with both stars expressing hopes that Dani might return to Strictly next year.

This follows Dani’s statement from last month regarding her Strictly Come Dancing withdrawal: “I had a fall on Friday in rehearsals and landed funny.

“I thought I had rolled my foot but it swelled up badly over the weekend and after an MRI scan yesterday, it turns out I have fractured my ankle.

“Apparently doing the Quickstep on a fracture is not advisable (! ! ) and the doctors have said I am not allowed to dance, so I’ve had to pull out of the show.

“To say I’m heartbroken is the biggest understatement. I am so going to miss dancing with Nikita but will of course be watching closely and cheering all the couples on.”
