Sally (Sally Dynevor) and Tim (Joe Duttine) are one of the soap’s beloved couples. The pair struck up a romance in 2013 and tied the knot in 2015 before getting remarried again in 2020.

However, on the cobbles recently, the pair have been hit with a few obstacles in their relationship. This week, Tim was stunned when he picked up a woman in his cab, and instantly recognised her as Trisha Pinkerton.

According to Tim, the pair knew each other in the 1980s when she took his virginity. At the time he was just 14 while she was in her 20s.

After telling his friend Brian Packham (Peter Gunn), Brian was left horrified and explained to Tim that it was actually grooming as he was a minor. However, Tim didn’t appear to accept that was the case.

In Friday’s episode (October 10) Brian confronted Trisha and accused her grooming Tim as a child, something she denied. Tim was fuming at Brian but he stuck to his guns and told Tim that he needed to face the fact that Trisha groomed him.

Later on, Tim confided in wife Sally about his history with Trisha and she agreed with Paul that Trisha groomed him. Tim wasn’t having it though and defended Trisha, causing a row to break out between Sally and Tim.

But now, with more drama to come fans are predicting a shock split from Sally and Tim. What’s more, they have also ‘rumbled’ Sally’s next romance on the cobbles.

On a Coronation Street Facebook fan page, one person suggested her ex-husband Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell). Kevin has faced his own heartbreak recently after discovering his wife Abi (Sally Carman) and brother Carl’s (Jonathan Howard) affair.

Predicting a reunion, one fan mused: “CanKevin go back with Sally again.” Someone else agreed: “Yes maybe for old time sakes Tim might have an affair with that new woman.”

A third chimed in: “Stranger things have happened never say never it is soap land after all waiting to see how it comes out.” Another declared: “Watch this space! The foundations are being laid, you might have a point.”
