Lauren meets Nikki at the cafe. She asks Nikki if Victor has brought Michael back in; is that why he’s working for Cane?

They sit down, and Nikki tells Lauren that she doesn’t know anything about Michael working for Victor.

Lauren says it was bad enough when Victor was the chaos in Michael’s life, but now Cane’s involved. Michael is working for Cane now and just admitted it to her last night.

Nikki asks why Lauren thinks Michael is working for Victor.

Lauren just has a feeling. What does Nikki think?

Nikki nods. She thinks Victor and Michael have been looking for a reason to reunite, and Cane might have just given them one. Their bond is almost unbreakable!

Lauren isn’t sure that’s a good thing; Victor has been treating Michael like crap since he left!

Nikki shrugs. That’s just how Victor is… He’s even like that to his own sons! She’s come to understand that she needs to stay out of some of Victor’s plans.

Lauren can’t believe it. She thinks Nikki is as guilty as Victor is. She’s turning a blind eye and letting it happen!

Nikki says she’s trying, but she’s not her husband’s keeper.

Lauren thinks she sounds just like Michael when he was trying to cover up Victor’s schemes. She says Michael quit because Victor wanted to take down Jack, and he didn’t want to be pulled between them.

Nikki says she can’t stand that Victor hates Jack, but she can’t change his mind. She loves him just like Lauren loves Michael!

Lauren apologizes for lashing out. She loves Michael, but doesn’t know whether she can take it anymore, though! She’s tired of him doing Victor’s bidding. She had convinced him to leave, and she thought he’d get over leaving Victor, but then Cane came in, and now all bets are off. She begs Nikki to find out whether Michael is working for Victor.

Nikki doesn’t think Victor would tell her anything. Cane Ashby sure is making his mark on Genoa City again!

Lauren wonders if Cane really is a threat, or whether he’s just desperate for attention.

Nikki says Damian would be alive if Cane had let them off the mountain. He’s capable of great damage. He hasn’t gone in for the kill yet, so either he doesn’t have the means to do it, or he enjoys the game too much. She’s sick of him, and if Victor does have a plan, she hopes he uses it and shuts Cane down quickly.
