EastEnders has introduced a fresh face to Walford, and viewers believe they’ve sussed out her link to Cindy Beale.

In Tuesday’s episode of the BBC soap, newcomer Jasmine (played by Indeyarna Donaldson-Holness) made her debut in Walford, on the hunt for a job and quickly making herself known to the residents.

She soon found herself at The Albert, the Square’s local pub, where she crossed paths with Cindy (Michelle Collins) and enquired about any available positions. Initially dismissive, Cindy swiftly changed her tune.

However, bar manager Elaine Knight (Harriet Thorpe) wasn’t overly thrilled about the new addition. Jasmine also caught the eye of Oscar Branning (Pierre Moullier), who wasted no time in trying to woo her.

On Thursday evening (September 25), Oscar attempted to flirt with Jasmine, only to be turned down for a date, reports OK!.

Undeterred, Oscar went to great lengths to catch her attention, even resorting to stealing clothes from the market stall in an effort to convince Jasmine to join him for an evening out.

His plan paid off when Jasmine unexpectedly planted a kiss on him in full view, despite Cindy’s attempts to nip any budding romance in the bud.

Jasmine seems interested not only in Oscar but also in her new boss Cindy’s life, prompting the Walford icon to warn her new bartender to keep her distance from the locals.

EastEnders viewers now believe Jasmine has connections to Jackie Ford, the criminal who crossed paths with Cindy in prison, and think this explains her unexpected appearance in Walford.

Whilst serving time, Cindy became a grass and shopped Jackie to the authorities. This betrayal forced Cindy to assume a new identity – Rose Knight – for many years afterwards.

Fans have taken to X to share their theories, with one asking: “Jasmine is related to Jackie Ford’s family?? #eastenders”, whilst another declared: “So that’s who Jasmine is, probably a relative to who Cindy snitched on #EastEnders.”

A third viewer elaborated: “So, they’ve alluded that Jasmine comes from a criminal family. And then she gave Cindy a very definite look as Cindy walked away… I have a feeling she’s related to Jackie Ford – Cindy’s cellmate she agreed to give evidence against. #EastEnders.”

Another fan wondered: “I wonder if Jasmine could be something to do with Jackie Ford seeing as she seems intent on finding out more about Cindy #EastEnders.”
