The cast of EastEnders let their hair down at a swanky club in London’s Mayfair to celebrate the soap’s epic 40th anniversary, which left its legion of loyal fans gobsmacked
The EastEnders gang partied up a storm until 4am on the weekend to celebrate the soap’s epic 40th anniversary.
Fans of the show were left gobsmacked last week when the jaw-dropping live episode saw the Queen Vic explode and fan favourite, Martin Fowler, played by James Bye, pop his clogs, sending social media into meltdown.
The whole cast put in a stellar shift to mark the soap’s 40 years on air and deservedly let their hair down to celebrate their efforts. Seen smiling at the swanky Twenty Two club in Mayfair, London, they stayed partying away until 4am, hugging and kissing.
In one candid snap, Jessie Wallace, who plays Kat Slater, walks into the venue with Diane Parish (Denise Fox) and Patsy Palmer (Bianca Jackson). Patsy looks fabulous sporting a midnight blue suit with flared silk trousers while Jessie has smile a mile wide as she follows her friend, dressed in a black silk skirt and top. Meanwhile, Diane looks ready to hit the dance floor in a knee-length burgundy dress and black pumps.
Also enjoying the festivities was Ruby Allen actress, Louisa Lytton. She was seen hugging actor, Mohammed George, who played the loveable Gus Smith. Louisa was also seen arm-in-arm with Micah Balfour, who plays Junior Knight.

Also seen at the bash were actresses Kitty Castledine, who plays Penny Branning, and Molly Rainford – Anna Knight. They looked all partied out as they left the venue as Molly put her arm around her friend.
EastEnders outdid itself with his 40th celebration week in which viewers decided the outcome of one of it storylines for the first time.
The special episode was broadcast live from Albert Square, and viewers had the chance to pick whether Denise would reunite with her estranged husband Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) or choose to embark on a new romance with lover Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara).
The vote came after Denise and Jack’s tumultuous marriage fell apart last year, when it was revealed that he had been having an affair with Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner).
The polls closed at 7.10pm on Thursday, just 20 minutes before the live episode aired, with producers promising that whatever the outcome, the public’s choice would result in a major shift in Walford that means new storylines and iconic returns. Fans eagerly tuned in to see the outcome of the public vote, which resulted in Denise declare her love for Jack.
