Jack runs into Nikki in the park. They talk about how they’re both frustrated by Victor.

Nikki wonders what’s got under Jack’s skin.

Jack says that it has to do with Billy… He seems to think that Cane is the answer to all his problems, and he’s pushing away everyone who disagrees with him.

Nikki thinks they may fight, but they’re still family.

Jack doubts that Billy even remembers his family… And now Abbott Communications is basically gone; Billy wanted him to pull the funding, and he did! Cane has scrambled everyone like pieces on a chessboard! He compares Cane to Victor and says that Nikki should be concerned… Billy is obsessed with Chancellor, and if Cane dangles that as a prize for Billy… Who knows what he’d do to get it!

Nikki asks what Billy is planning to do with Cane. She thinks Victor knows what Cane is up to, but he’s not saying anything about it.

Jack shrugs. Maybe Cane’s “weapon” isn’t actually real. He may be using it as a distraction, and Billy is buying into it all! He wishes Billy could see through Cane’s plotting. He loves his brother and wants him to succeed.

Nikki wonders why Cane has such a “devilish” hold on Billy.

Jack nods. Maybe Cane is the devil!

Victor walks into the park and overhears. “Well I’ll be damned!”
