Major Coronation Street character suddenly returns and saves a life

Theo Silverton (James Cartwright) has proven to be an incredibly dark character in Coronation Street, with his behaviour toward boyfriend Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) has crossed the line from troubling to down right abusive.
Although he suffered through evil conversion therapy, which clearly had a deep, profound and severely damaging impact on him, Todd has found himself in an increasingly hostile and dangerous relationship as Theo has shown himself capable of explosive temper flares alongside more calculated acts of cruelty.
Though Todd broke things off with Theo after he physically forced pieces of kebab into his mouth after verbally degrading him, Theo managed to lie his way back into Todd’s good graces.
His behaviour has gotten significantly worse since the two moved in together. Theo’s fury raged when Todd failed to understand his upset over sick conversion therapist Noah Hedley’s (Richard Winsor) death, and even made it clear that he was utterly opposed to Todd’s colleague and friend, George Shuttleworth (Tony Maudsley) nipping round for a drink.

A night out in Manchester’s gay village brought more drama as Todd and Theo set out alongside Sean Tully (Antony Cotton), James Bailey (Jason Callendar), Mary Taylor (Patti Clare), Glenda Shuttleworth (Jodie Prenger) and Christina Boyd (Amy Robbins).
Already silently seething when James playfully flirts with Todd, Theo was blown away to see Owen, who unleashed on him after realising that their own relationship was abusive with the help of his new boyfriend.
Owen made it clear that Theo having suffered conversion therapy was no excuse for his own abusive behaviour, while Theo attempted to manipulate the situation, turning everything back on Owen in an all-too-familiar example of his cruel behaviour.

Theo attempted to write the incident off to Todd as a collision with a pair of randoms, though when Todd found a picture of Theo and Owen on his phone, Theo launched into a tirade, calling Todd controlling for snooping.
He later revealed that Owen is, in fact, an ex, but painted him as an abusive, controlling and manipulative tyrant and himself as the victim. He then fired at Todd for flirting with James and, as the conflict reached an apex, headed back out to Canal Street, leaving Todd alone.
The following day, and with no sign of Theo, Todd’s panic over his whereabouts was compounded when his phone was handed in to the Kabin. Theo, learning from Gary Windass (Mikey North) of Todd’s fear, slipped into the flat, and out again.

Next week, and while Todd laments to George of Theo’s disappearance, Theo passes Victoria Garden and finds Asha Alahan (Tanisha Gorey) in a bad way following ingesting a dangerous mix of drugs and alcohol.
Asha has been in a bad way after suffering some truly dreadful experiences while working as a paramedic. Deeply effected by an emotional day at work, Asha was spat at and racially abused by a drunk woman she was trying to help.
While going through some clear mental health difficulties, Asha kept shtum about her suffering as her twin brother and support system Aadi Alahan (Adam Hussain) left for a new life in India.

Theo immediately shouts for help and Asha ends up being hospitalised.
Later, Todd finds Theo at rails at him over his disappearance. While Theo departs, again, Amy Barlow (Elle Mulvaney) tells Todd that Theo, in fact, could’ve saved Asha’s life.
With Todd, once again, squarely on the back foot when it comes to Theo, how will he process this revelation?
