Roger Howarth’s Young & Restless Role Revealed — Plus, First-Look Video
ust in time for spooky season comes a mystery role so intriguing, we can hardly wait to get all the gory details. Iconic soap vet Roger Howarth is returning to daytime, this time to The Young and the Restless.
Deadline has reported that Howarth, who wrapped up an on-and-off run as Dr. Austin Gatlin-Holt on General Hospital in 2023 and is best known for his role as the volatile Todd Manning on One Life to Live, will begin taping scenes for his Genoa City debut in mid-September, which would have him appearing onscreen for the first time later in the fall.

Howarth confirmed the news, saying he’s a “lucky guy” on his personal Instagram account.
As we mentioned, the role he’ll be playing began as a total question mark. But now we know he’s Mitch Bacall, club owner Sienna’s husband, per SoapHub. (Soaps.com has reached out to the show for independent confirmation.)
Ironically, Howarth And Tamara Braun previously worked together on General Hospital, when his Franco had the memories of her lost love Drew implanted in his brain.
What remains to be seen is how the Emmy winner fits into the new canvas, which currently revolves around another newcomer, Billy Flynn’s Cane Ashby.
One thing is certain, we’re excited to see Howarth take on a new role on Young & Restless. Stay tuned to SOAPS for all the details as they break.
