Secrets Unfold at the Genoa City Athletic Club — Where Every Drink Comes with a Dangerous Confession

Daniel and Tessa enter the club. Daniel is disappointed they missed his dad’s bachelor party.

Tessa thanks him for coming with her to see Mariah. She wishes it wasn’t for nothing.

Tessa and Daniel stand in the dining room at the GCAC.

They walk downstairs into the jazz lounge, and Daniel sees there’s nobody there either. He says he’ll talk to his dad in the morning. He’s sure that Tessa wants to head home, so he’ll drop her off there.

Tessa says she wants to relax a bit before she goes home… Would he buy her a drink?

Daniel agrees. They sit at the bar, order a drink, and toast to Danny and Christine. He asks if she’d like to talk about what happened with Mariah.

Daniel and Tessa sit at the bar and talk over drinks.

Tessa doesn’t know what to say; it was surreal sitting across from Mariah, because she felt like she didn’t know her at all. She thought it would make everything better to see her, but it was like they were a million miles apart.

Daniel asks if Mariah told her anything about what happened between her and the man in the hotel.

Tessa says they didn’t talk about it. They played Old Maid with a deck of cards, but it didn’t help… Mariah was hopeless and despondent; she was a shell of herself! Tessa thinks that the clinic isn’t helping Mariah and wanted to take her out, but Mariah said she needed to “dive deep” into her feelings to get to the other side. She isn’t sure that Mariah will actually get past this.

Tessa talks with Daniel.

Daniel asks what he can do to help.

Tessa doesn’t want to talk about this anymore. She says she texted the nanny and asked her to stay another night… She’ll deal with this tomorrow!

Daniel thinks Tessa just wants to get drunk and forget about things. He remembers doing the same thing when Heather died.

Daniel and Tessa talk at the bar.

Tessa realizes it’s been over a year now since Heather died. She apologizes for forgetting and asks if he’s going to make her drink alone.

Daniel says she doesn’t need to apologize. He suggests that they head upstairs and get some food; they haven’t eaten since breakfast!

Tessa agrees, and they head upstairs.

Daniel and Tessa leave the jazz lounge.
