Christine and Danny meet up in the lounge and make small talk. They’re there to meet Lauren and Michael.

Michael and Lauren walk up, bickering.

Lauren says she doesn’t want to sit beside Michael, now or ever… And that includes at their wedding!

Christine and Danny ask what’s going on.

Lauren says that she confronted Michael and he had met with Victor, but he lied time and time again to her about where he was and whether he was involved with Victor.

Michael says that’s unfair… He was trying to help everyone in Genoa City, not just Victor! Cane has the ability to crush the livelihoods of people they know and care about.

Lauren threatens to leave, and Michael threatens to leave, too.

Christine and Danny tell them to stay. He asks Lauren to have a “little chat” alone, and they move to another table.

Michael downs the drink that Christine had bought for Lauren. He grimaces. It’s sweet!

Christine tells Michael that she needs him and Lauren at her wedding… In love. How are they going to fix this?

Michael doesn’t know why it’s an issue at all… He’s not employed by Victor or Cane, so what’s the problem? His motives were noble!

Christine says that Lauren is scared because he could have gone to jail for what he was going to do. He can’t save the world; he’s only angry because he lied to Lauren and she called him out on it… But he probably secretly loves that about her!

Michael says he hates it, but then reconsiders. “Okay, she’s fierce, amazing, and independent.” He waxes poetic about Lauren’s charms and grace, and how she’s put up with him for so long.
