The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers reveal that we have to ask: Is Ian Buchanan returning as Dr. James Warwick? Taylor Hayes’ (Rebecca Budig) book choice could be a clue, so we should consider the possibility that James’ comeback is in the works.

In the November 3 episode, Taylor was seen holding James’ book in her office.

James’ name could be seen on the front along with his photo that was displayed on the back cover.

It’s possible B&B was just offering up a fun little treat for fans to find and get a kick out of. However, there’s also a chance that was a hint about James’ upcoming return.

James was Taylor’s mentor once upon a time, but he also relied on her for help with some messed-up family issues.

Taylor and James were romantically entangled in various ways over the years, so there’s a history between them.

However, James has a history with Sheila Sharpe (Kimberlin Brown) as well – some of it good and some of it bad!

Sheila’s mental problems made things complicated, but James did have a child with Sheila and was previously married to her.

James’ most recent B&B stint was in 2017 when Eric Forrester (John McCook) summoned him to evaluate Sheila’s mental health.

Sheila wound up blackmailing James over his painkiller addiction and backed him into a difficult corner.

Plenty of fans would like to see Ian Buchanan reprise his role as Dr. James Warwick, especially now that Taylor’s been spotted with his book.

It could be the show’s way of offering a clue about James’ imminent comeback.

Now that Sheila may be poised to go back off the rails, it might be the perfect time to plop James into this storyline.

It’s always a blast when former characters get back in the mix, so James’ return would be a welcome one.
