Billy sits at the bar, drinking a coffee, when Adam sits beside him.

Adam asks whether the rumors are true… Is Billy really not running Abbott Communications?

Billy says he put Sally into the CEO position, and Adam took Sally for granted. Adam cheated on Sally and lied to her for weeks… Does he have a problem about that?

Adam says that Billy made Sally CEO because Billy isn’t up to the job… And she deserves more than being tied to Billy!

Billy tells Adam to check his inbox for an invite to the launch party.

Adam scoffs. He’s had a front-row seat to Billy’s clown show for the past few years! He laughs that Abbott Communications will fail because it has to work against Newman Media, the top media company in town! He hears that Cane was the one who cancelled the previous launch party. He thinks Jill has more faith in Cane than she has in her own son. Nobody trusts Billy… Not Jill, Jack, Cane, Phyllis, or Lily. Sally must only be with him because she feels sorry for him.

Billy warns Adam to keep Jill’s name out of his mouth.

Adam laughs. He tells Billy he should cut his losses and get out of the city… Actually, he should get out of the country so that nobody has to deal with the stench of his disappointment!

Billy doesn’t stand for it. He lays into a punch, and cracks Adam across the jaw.

Chelsea walks into the club and sees the assault. Her mouth falls open in shock as Adam falls to the floor. She asks what the hell is going on.

Billy says to consider it a payback; Adam got off easy with that punch! It’s payback! He tells Adam to get comfortable being on the ground… Abbott Communications will knock Newman Media to the ground, too! He stalks out of the club.

Chelsea asks Adam what just happened.

Adam says Billy threw a sucker punch; he must have struck a nerve!

Chelsea is incredulous that Billy would risk a PR disaster by hitting Adam.

Adam says he won’t admit this to anyone else, but he deserved it… He admits to prodding Billy into it. He feels sorry for Billy, though, he thinks that Billy keeps getting the short end of the stick.

Chelsea is proud of Adam. The “old” Adam would never admit such a thing!

Adam grins. Chelsea helped him change, and he’s a new man! He gets a notification from Victor that he needs to come out to the ranch… Now.
