Lily walks into the coffeehouse and Daniel asks how she is. She says that Newman Media dropped a story about Cane’s illegal cover-ups… It’s never ending with him!

Phyllis tells her to cool down.

Lily says Phyllis is part of the reason that Cane won’t just go away.

Phyllis is taken aback. Why is Lily upset with her? She’s not Cane’s boss.

Lily says Phyllis is Cane’s cheerleader and she pushes him to go after businesses in town. She should go back to France with Cane where all of his crimes were committed.

Phyllis asks where this is coming from. Cane feels horrible about what happened in France.

Lily says Cane doesn’t need her sympathy. He has Phyllis to tell him that he’s done nothing wrong.

Phyllis’s phone rings and she excuses herself to take the call. It’s Cane calling, and he tells her he needs to see her right away… It’s urgent.

Lily tells Daniel that his mom is a lost cause if she ends up working for Cane; it won’t end well for anyone!
