Phyllis doesn’t think it’s a good idea to make big business swings to advance his personal life… And his dad stole a chateau from some lady!

Cane says that Victor tried to blackmail him. He wants a future in this town.

Phyllis says she wanted to use the software to get something from everyone in town who hates them.

Cane shakes his head. He wants her to use the AI to improve his image.

Phyllis says Billy was right about him… He doesn’t know who he is or what he’s doing from one minute to the next!

Cane warns her that if she won’t help him, he’ll find someone who will! He gets up and leaves the table.

Phyllis follows him into the lobby. She says he’s just like the rest of them… He’s going to use her and leave her in the dust! He can’t see that Phyllis is the only one on his side right now. She doesn’t like the way he’s treating her, and he has to admit that he needs her.

Cane nods. He does need her. What does she want from him?

Phyllis wants him to give her the AI program.

Cane won’t do that. What if she takes it and does whatever she wants with it?

Phyllis gets close and rubs Cane’s chest. She can’t believe that he doesn’t trust her after all this time! He was right to come to her; she just might be the answer to all his prayers, and not just because she’s a wiz with computers… She may be the only one who may be able to save him from being an outcast.

Cane doesn’t think he has much of a choice, but he won’t give her full access to the software. She needs to come up with some hypotheticals before he gives her access to it.

Phyllis asks him if that’s the best he can do.

They get very close and almost kiss, but they both pull away at the last moment.

Phyllis smiles and nods. “Alright. I’ll be in touch.” She leaves the club.

Cane is shaken. He calls Lily and leaves a voicemail asking her to call him back.
