Nate nods. They’re trying to reduce the swelling on his brain. He says there’s hope for recovery.
Victoria says it’s reminding her of Cassie and Faith’s accidents. Nick has been through this before!
Nate says this time’s different. Faith turned out to be okay, and Noah isn’t dead.

Victoria nods. She says it feels like their family has been cursed; they’ve been given so much, but they’ve lost a lot, too. For every blessing they have, something else gets taken away, and sometimes the pain is overwhelming. She’s sure Nate understands… He just lost his newfound half-brother!
Nate says he has good days and bad days, but he reminds her that Noah is young, strong, and is still fighting. He has a chance! He puts his arm around her shoulder and tells her to stay positive. He’s glad she feels comfortable enough to share her feelings with him.
Victoria smiles and says she forgot how easy it was to talk to him. She’s sorry for bailing on their run; he’s got his workout clothes on and probably needs to get back to the office!

Nate says he’ll probably go back to the office in his jogging clothes. He doesn’t like having to be in a suit all day! He says he’d understand if she needs to cancel their dinner plans.
Victoria says she wants to keep the date. She might go to LA with her mother, but she can use the distraction if they don’t leave tonight. She takes his hand and says that his support means the world to her; he’s one of the best guys she knows!
Audra walks back into the park and sees them holding hands. She apologizes for interrupting their “moment.” She left her shopping bag behind and grabs it.

Nate says they didn’t even see her bag there.
Audra scoffs. They didn’t notice her, either! She stalks out of the park.
