Victoria visits her parents, and they tell her that Cane is suing them for defamation.

Victor says that he’s not declaring it a win yet… This game isn’t over.

Nikki asks whether Jack was in with him on the decision to publish the article.

Victor scoffs at the idea. “Hell no!” He says that Jack is only involved to get help from Jill to stop Cane from doing anything stupid. There’s no partnership, he’s there to protect Newman Enterprises, not Jabot!

Nick drops in and tells them that the article is working, and he’s heading to LA to join Sharon and Noah. He’s not there to ask permission, he’s leaving.

Victor tells him he’d prefer Nick stays in town, they’re facing problems with Cane Ashby!

Nick can’t believe Victor is digging his heels in on this.

Victor thinks Nick is overreacting about Noah, and he’s concerned that Cane will use the AI software against them. He wants to face Cane’s threat as a family.

Nick says Cane’s more bark than bite, and right now, his son needs him. If there’s a serious problem, he can get on a video call or a flight back.

Nikki agrees. She’s concerned about Noah, too.

Victor gives in. If Nick needs to be there for Noah, he has his blessing.

Nick thanks him. His phone rings, it’s Sharon, and he puts her on speakerphone.

Sharon is crying. She’s in the hospital and tells Nick that he has to get there as soon as possible… “It’s happened again; it’s Cassie all over again!”

Nick asks what she means.

Sharon is almost incomprehensible. She cries that Noah has been in a car accident, and it’s really bad.

Nick gets the information about the hospital. He’s on his way!

Victor makes arrangements for the company jet to fly him there, and Nick leaves. He hugs a crying Nikki.
