“What’s Hidden Behind the Walls of the Abbott Mansion That Has Fans on Edge?”

Jack arrives home and asks Sally what she wants to talk about. He promises to be discreet about whatever it is.

Jack Abbott sits on an armchair as he talks with Sally.

Sally says she had a job and career she loved when Billy asked her to join Abbott Communications. She gave up everything for Billy and the company, but now he’s risking it all to get back Chancellor. It’s not just his future at stake, it’s hers, too! She feels like she’s losing him!

Jack is sorry for everything she’s going through, but they’ve been down this road with Billy before… Does this have something to do with Cane cancelling the launch party?

Sally says she killed herself to make sure the event went off without a hitch. She says the company is dead in the water now.

Sally Spectra.

Diane asks if Sally is there to plead her case and get Jack back as an investor.

Sally says she isn’t there to ask for a handout… She cares about Billy, and that’s why she’s there!

Jack says Billy wouldn’t tell him what Cane was up to.

Jack hangs his head as Diane looks on.

Sally says it’s not surprising, since it’s illegal. She says that Cane doesn’t want to get his hands dirty… Cane told them about it and told Phyllis too, but Billy will hate her if she tells them about the plan!

Jack says if she doesn’t tell them, she may be throwing away her last chance to stop it.

Sally explains that Cane has AI software that can get into any company’s systems and take control of it… Selling off divisions and moving money however it’s directed to.

Sally looks determined.

Jack can’t believe it… They have security systems that would stop it!

Sally shakes her head. The software is unable to be detected and can destabilize a company from the inside and make it look like it’s been mismanaged.

Jack gets it… Then the attacker could buy the company off for pennies on the dollar! He can’t believe Billy is on board with this.

Jack Abbott.

Sally says Billy wants Chancellor so bad, he’ll do anything. Cane is trying to get Billy to get the software into Newman Enterprises and other companies.

Jack wonders if one of those other companies is Jabot.

Sally can’t see Billy going after Jabot… He only wants Chancellor.

Sally stands in front of the fireplace.

Diane thinks Cane could blackmail Billy into doing it.

Sally says Billy thinks that he’ll be able to get ahold of the software and will tell Cane to go to hell. She doesn’t think that Billy will be able to do it, though.

Jack asks what Billy plans to do with the AI software.

Jack talks with Sally.

Sally says that Billy doesn’t actually plan to use the software to attack Newman Enterprises… He’ll just threaten to use it on Victor personally, hoping to force Victor to give up Chancellor and fund Abbott Communications, since Jack pulled the funds.

Jack says he didn’t pull the funds… Billy said he didn’t want Jack’s money; he was the one who backed out!

Sally can’t believe it… Billy lied to her so that she’d go along with his crazy plan! What has she done? Why did she blow up her life for this? She should have been smarter!

Sally Spectra is shocked.

Jack says he’s sorry, but Cane knows how to push Billy’s buttons.

Diane asks what she told Billy when he told her the plan.

Sally says she told him she didn’t want to be involved in an illegal enterprise… How could she be reeled in? She still loves him, but she hopes he’ll listen to someone before it’s too late! She told Billy that she’s out if he goes through with it, but hopes that Jack will be able to persuade him.

Jack says he’s spent a lot of his life trying to talk sense into Billy, but he usually ends up going the wrong way. He advises her to cut Billy loose… He’s going to have to sink or learn how to swim on his own!

Jack, Diane, and Sally talk in the living room.
