Phyllis is a wild card and the one person who can get under Sharon’s skin. That’s because Nick turned to Phyllis after their daughter, Cassie Newman (Camryn Grimes), died nearly 20 years ago.
Instead of leaning on Sharon, who was his wife at the time, Nick leaned on Phyllis. It destroyed her marriage with Nick. Sharon could not accept his relationship with Phyllis, forcing Nick to choose between the two women. Nick chose Phyllis, leading to a painful divorce from Sharon.
Victor’s Orders Put Shick In Jeopardy
The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that Victor orders Nick to get closer to the redhead to keep tabs on Cane. No one really knows what Cane’s plans are, as he keeps them close to his vest.
Currently, he claims he is suspending his quest to take over Chancellor Industries, Jabot, Winters, and Newman Enterprises. Of course, Victor doesn’t believe him. So, he recruits Nick to get the 411 on Cane’s real business plan.
When Nick learns that Victor wants him to cozy up to Phyllis, he gets nervous. Sure, he can do it, but is it worth it to damage the bond he’s established with Sharon?
He knows that if Sharon learns of this, she would not be happy about it. She might pull away from him, which is the last thing he wants.
Victor’s Plan Puts Nick In The Middle
The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that Nick honors his dad’s wishes and keeps tabs on Phyllis. He starts spending time with the redheaded bombshell, asking her questions about the work she is doing.
After some time, she begins to give him intel, information Victor can use against Cane. However, the bond he creates with Phyllis puts him in a bad spot when he develops feelings for both Phyllis and Sharon.
It won’t take Nick long to determine that he’s in a bad spot, one that he has been in several times before. He knows he must choose a person to be with because he cannot have them both.
This time, he must decide which woman he wants, and it won’t be easy. He loves them both, each with their own flaws and positive qualities.
